About the Teacher
My name is Glenn Phillips and I grew up in a small town in central New York. My extended family is very large and extremely important to me. This means that holidays in my family were ridiculous and fun. I love sports, and have been playing them all my life. My favorite sports are basketball and baseball. I was on my school’s basketball and baseball teams and even received All-League honors my senior year for baseball. My favorite sports teams are the New York Yankees, the Buffalo Bills, the Chicago Bulls, and the Syracuse Orangemen. I root for these teams through the ups and the downs. During high school I was also very active in our drama department, where I performed onstage in plays and musicals. I always liked music and played the alto saxophone throughout my entire school career. I graduated third in my class and went to Hobart College in Geneva, New York. While I attended Hobart I majored in English, with a concentration in Shakespeare, and minored in American Studies. I received my Bachelor’s of Arts degree Magna Cum Laude and entered into the Education Program at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York. I have not been teaching that long, but I love English and language in general and love being in the classroom.
